TMD - Storm Warriors

TMD took it to mothernature this past weekend and managed to pull off a pretty impressive wall if I don't say so myself :)

Fighting wind, cold and driving rain and armed with paint, towels and a never die attitude the guys got in there and smashed it like the champions they are - GO THE SMASHING!!!

It was a good chance to jam with Vansy and to catch up with Addy and this is just the warm up for something bigger better and badder - oh so badder - you will not believe the badness. It's name would be Mr Badness from 001 Bad Lane, Badville in Badnessanovia - it's that bad....

Onehunga - The Society steez

Lastnight we checked out little Tonga, I mean Onehunga.

Love this place, my favourite comic shop is here along with my favourite kiwi wrestler GO THE KID LIGER!

Again we decided to make the most of the venue and wander around the main street. Excuse the wonky horizons - I was more interested in the lights than the direction of my tripod - oops.

The Society heads to the CBD

The Society, our little photography crew, got together in Auckland last Monday and we welcomed along two more keen shooters - Helen and Michelle, kiaora!

One of the things we want to encourage is letting the shooter get a feel for what they want to do with their camera first and getting to grips with the ins and outs of using their camera as the situations calls for it. It may sound a bit backwards but I think that the techincal side of things can be picked up and should never be a hinderance to getting the creative side of a shooters process.

I took Helen along and showed her a few things I learnt when I started shooting and it was pretty cool to try things like panning and large building shots again - some drivers didn't appreciate my knack for shooting in the middle of the road but hey, what's a brotographer to do :)

I got the 50mm cranking on some shoes I thought were slightly overpriced but then again the image was free.

Shot Society!!
