Last year I was invited to speak at the Pecha Kucha event organised in conjunction with the Auckland Architecture week - talk about intimidating! Felt like a bit of a fish out of water when I showed up at the Galatos venue seeing as my presentation was a taster for the Manukau Festival of Arts and had nothing to do with Architecture - well kind of :o)
None the less the speakers were all amazing and the work they put up engaged the mind and with others the heart.

One of the many highlights from 2009 was getting my sleave. Getting the work done sparked an interest in not only the artists but the community that surround them. I was stoked to be allowed to grab shots at the International Tattoo convention held in Auckland. Thanks to Joe at Nesian Tattoo and much thanks to Dan from After Ink and Paratene from Universal Tattoo.
This is one epic wall and it's taken a good number of months to finish (finished joinup will be exclusive to the next Artillery mag) but the guys managed to knock the bastard off - that's Sir Ed Hillary speak.
We also celebrated Oche's birthday with a bit of a street partay - bbq, dog, kids and Grace Jones, loves me some Grace Jones.
