What a crazy crazy weekend I reckon - I was invited to take some shots or some of Aucklands finest on Sunday and man were there some nice nice pieces going up. I also got a chance to test my fisheye lens on some new subject matter.
Chur chur Skeezy, Charlie, Livi, Jilski Fyner and all the other cool fullahs at the wall!!!
I wanted to have a look at the Quarry that's been dug out of the earth on Wiri Station Road in Manukau. Turns out it really is just a big hole gouged out of what was once farmland. Curiosity satisfied I guess. Suppose I better take some photos of myself just to prove I was there. Next stop - the Grand Canyon :P
An awesome show and a packed house. D.Dallas and D-Form warmed the crowd up nicely Daves flow and lyricism just matures and grows as he progresses - mean mean mean.
The main event were well worth the wait and this has to be the biggest crowd I have seen at Zen ever. If you weren't there you missed one well drilled and tight show - Brother Ali and Slug on the mic are a pleasure for the ears yessireeeeeeee....
Got to spend New Years with some good friends as well as some nicely fried food courtesy of Elzy and his bbq skills of fire! Much love to Greg and crew and a special thanks to the ladies that put together some nice salads and deserts....mmmmmmm fruity upside down cake thing....
If you are wondering about the first shot, let me explain. I had to wander up the road to the dairy (Herne Bay dairy - needs more boards advertising $1 loaves of bread and the Samoa Star)to get some water and a coke when I came across this house - at least that's what I think it is. My wife was amused with it and I loved the fact that it looked like a derelict state house/apartment block smack in the middle of Herne Bay. It just looks like it was thrown in between these two stately villas by some pissed off town planner - brilliant!
